Those who work in the golf industry will agree that there is no one “perfect” way to swing a golf club. This is due to physical variations in body structure among different people making it impossible for every individual to swing a golf club in an identical manner. However, guidelines for good technique for a proper golf swing have been established.

Among all differences that you will see amongst golfers on television or elsewhere, there is a common thread that runs through all their techniques. They have mastered the basics like their golf grip, aim and their setup. They are able to reproduce a perfect swing every time. This is essential to a proper golf swing.

In the basic golf swing, there are three main components: the backswing, the downswing (also known as the approach), and the follow through. These three elements of the swing have to be put together into one fluid motion with the proper pacing to create a stroke that can be repeated by a golfer time and time again on the course.

The backswing should be controlled by the arms, not the hands. Do not pick the club up with your hands at the start-draw it back in a single motion of the arms and hands together. As you move through the backswing, your hips and shoulders will natural twist to transfer weight. It should feel comfortable and easy. At your waist, the hands should begin to set, and should be fully set at the top, but not broken. Do not overswing.

With anchoring, people are coached to recall a time where they did experience the feelings of confidence. As they remember and relive those sensations, they are instructed to touch two fingers together. The subconscious then connects the emotions of confidence with this physical action. If the patient argues that they have no recollection of ever feeling confident, the person is encouraged to design a fantasy where they do see themselves having confidence, and then anchor that instance of confidence.

After anchoring the emotions of confidence, in those situations that require self-confidence, touching the fingers together triggers memories of confidence that are useful in the present situation.

A very useful NLP too known as the “Flash” may be utilized to instantly exchange painful feelings, which are sometimes related to low self-confidence. With the Flash, the person uses the visual images that cause negative emotions, to trigger mental pictures to generate a good emotion.

For example, the individual directs the subconscious to use the mental images that cause feelings of insecurity, as triggers for mental pictures that cause perceptions of self-confidence. Our mental images trigger our emotions.

Everyone has goals, and aspirations. Many people learn to work toward these to achieve their aspirations. Sometimes, however, people permit their low self-confidence to conquer them. Even though NLP does not successfully treat every person, the large majority of individuals who try this technique report amazing success in gaining self confidence. This therapy is usually more useful than alternative techniques for most people.

Summary: Persons who do not possess self-confidence frequently may struggle with failure in many aspects of life.
